I am too old to do yoga.

I will feel uncomfortable in class.

All yoga courses, not just the chair yoga courses, have people with varying levels of experience and ability, so yoga instructors are specially trained to help everyone feel good about their progress, no matter what level they are. A good instructor will take a position step by step and at any time say something like this may be your position today, giving you explicit permission to stop when your body says to quit.
I would not look good at any of the small yoga machines.
Usually, the students in a chair yoga class do NOT wear special yoga clothes. Some may come to the class with sweat, while many only wear removable, comfortable street clothes.
I do not want to buy a lot of special equipment.
While it is true that there are entire catalogs that are full of yoga equipment, the only shock you really need a chair is.
