Public offices and Information

Access to all Jersey Harbours public offices and information centres, inclusive of all three marina offices at St Helier, La Collette and the Elizabeth marina's are equipped with wheelchair ramps and hand/guard rails

Passenger Terminals

Access into both the Albert Pier and Elizabeth passenger terminals is via automated sliding doors and both terminals offer access ramp assistance

The Cafés, shops, restaurant, bar area and service desks within these terminals all provide easy access and manoeuvrability for wheelchair bound or disabled customers

Specially designated parking bays are provided at all of Jersey Harbours public offices, passenger terminals and marinas and are situated as close to the amenities as is possible for disabled customer convenience.

A wheelchair provision service is provided by our customer services section and assistance is on hand in both the Albert and Elizabeth passenger ferry terminals

Toilet and washroom facilities are provided at each of the passenger terminal buildings as well as low level public telephone points and automatic, sliding doors

Transport to or from the harbour can be obtained via a regular bus service, coach links or private taxi. All of these services are capable of accommodating wheel chair and disabled access and can be pre booked or ordered upon arrival

Maritime House

Provision for disabled access within Maritime House is provided through a manned door entry point and a lift service to each floor of the building. Toilet and washroom facilities are also provided on each floor throughout the building

Parking for disabled persons is available directly outside the Maritime House main reception entrance and is accessed through the Maritime House car-park via an intercom system linked directly to the reception desk

Marinas

Jerseys three marinas provide disabled facilities at each of the their three locations (St Helier, La Collette and Elizabeth) all access ramps and main walkway pontoons are designed with sufficient width to permit for safe and easy wheel chair access

Disabled parking spaces are available within the contract berth holders car park at each marina as well as secondary disabled parking bays adjacent to each marina office

Disabled toilet, shower and washroom facilities are also provided at each of these locations with the added benefit of assistance alert switches located within each of these units

Low level public telephones are also present within the facilities blocks as are launderette facilities as well as the ease of automated sliding door entry into the facilities blocks

Animals are not permitted aboard boats within the marinas themselves however an exception to this ruling is given for registered guide dogs for the blind or vision impaired

Visiting yachtsmen/women with any physically impaired, wheel chair bound or disabled persons on board, planning a visit to the marinas are recommended to telephone the marina offices a day or two in advance of their arrival whereby the marina control staff will ensure a safe and suitable berth is available upon your arrival

The Sailors Rest café at St Helier marina also provides easy access for disabled persons via a ramped access. Disabled access is also provided within the waterfont complex just north of the Elizabeth marina where bars, cafes, restaurants, a swimming pool complex and a multi-screen cinema can all be easily accessed
